During the pandemic we were trying new recipes, canning, fermenting, and creating our own leaven. I looked around my studio with fresh eyes, the shelves were packed with boxes of “ingredients” collected over the years. I was inspired to do my own version of “canning” utilizing these long dormant materials. What would it be like to walk into this pantry, pick a jar off the shelf, read the label and see what was inside?
